Thirty five years of experience speaks for itself. Most of my work comes by word of mouth. We can remodel most anything inside your home. A specialty is getting your home ready for sale or just fixing up that old bathroom. I will help you step by step through your project. It might be just a front door replacement or knocking out a wall. Maybe your steps suddenly look like the Grand Canyon. We do all types of ramps and ADA work such as grab bars. Our specialty is basement and bathroom remodels and laminate and pre finished hardwood floors. My son, Chris- has been doing most of the work since April. We only work for family and friends and friends of friends.
I accept all major credit cards and we can work out payment plans and options. I also take checks and cash.

My company was established by my dad in 1963 and had been responsible for providing outstanding handyman services and home remodeling ever since 1980. My specialty is personal service. We're not a big company and have no desire to be. You don't get personal service with those. We are located in Kansas City Missouri and work the Kansas City Metro Area. Since April 2012, my son, Chris has taken over the company.

Gary has been called a Renaissance man because of his experience in meteorology, archaeology, professional screen writing and of course, home remodeling and politics. Despite all the hobbies, he's paid the bills by using his hands being a handyman and a home remodeler, which he gives his dad David Brenner 100% credit.
Gary is proud of the fact all is work came by word of mouth and that he's never spent a dime on advertising other than here. And that most all his work has come from family and friends and friends of friends for 35 years.
His list of clients include former KC Chiefs players, a Hall of Fame KC Royal, a current KC Councilman, two former Mayors, a KC police commissioner and a resume' of many more and all are just people with repairs and remodels like you.
Gary was listed as #99 of 100 people who shaped the Northland by the Platte County Dispatch in 1991. Jessie James came in at #66.

His remodeling work made front page of the Kansas City Star (Wednesday, October 8th, 2008, titled OPEN HOUSE AND OPEN HEARTS) This was Northland Neighborhood, Inc, version of EXTREME MAKEOVER where Gary and his team donated several hours to help a family in need.
Gary is devoted to helping those in need and are afraid of getting ripped off by other contractors.
Gary is also a former Riverside, MO, city councilman. He is best known for personally saving and building the Renner-Brenner Site Park in the early 80's. He also taught archaeology for Maple Woods Community College from 1982 to 1993 and still holds the largest private collection of Kansas City Hopewell artifacts which will go to KU in the future. He's written two published papers on his work and in 2010 received the J.M. Shippee Lifetime achievement award from the Kansas City Archaeological Society. www.rennerbrennersitepark.com
From Gary: "Our life is similar to a stage show. We play a gig here and there and a few times a year land that big gig that can last for a few weeks. Everyday we have a show to do. Sometimes it's for $20 and sometimes for $30,000. No matter how you look at it, most of the time I do wake up un employeed and always looking for that next job. If we played music, we play the same for that $20 job as we do that $30K job. It's what we do."

He is also a past alderman and mayor for the City of Riverside and went on to be elected to Eastern Platte County Commissioner in the late 80's. He was the founder of Plantation Apartments in Riverside, MO and his list of credits are too long to list here. He is the consumate craftsman and a lot of his work is now considered not so much furniture, but a work of art.
